This is a cliche first entry. Read at your own nuisance. No pointing fingers, this is just an obligatory first post. To be honest, I’ve lost count of how many times I posted the same kind of entry. I warned you.

Apparently, you’re too stubborn and restless that you still clicked “read more” despite of my warning. Most probably you’re curious about the owner of the blog or you’re just one among my circle of friends. Anyway, thank you for wasting your time by reading this blog. Guess you have nothing important to do, but welcome.

Without further ado, my name is Cathlyn G. Melo. I have been living my not-so-interesting life in the Philippines for almost 24 years. I’m an awkward girl with a huge liking towards the limitless world of fiction. In specific, I adore movies, tv series, comics, manga and most especially Japanese anime. In short, I contribute to the continuous growth of the geek population. Mind you, I’m not a NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training). I’m working my butt off in a private hospital for 4 years already and at the same time, taking my post graduate degree in business administration (I’ll be graduating this coming June 7), so let’s scratch the NEET thing everyone.

I created this blog for the sole purpose of de-stressing. I don’t know why but writing my thoughts down help me feel engrossed and in-tuned with myself. In this toxic world, we need those things that will in one way or another, at least clear our mind and keep us sane. Hence, in my case, writing and blogging helps in the struggle. Instead of focusing on the negative, allow yourself to divert towards the light of optimism. Metaphorically speaking, the fictional world is like the lamp that lights up my world. *micdrop
