.hack//Sign: Episode 06

I am slowly drifting away from this anime.

Let me explain.

Apparently, it was not the anime itself but because of my schedule of watching it continuously. I’m the one to blame and not the series itself so don’t worry if you’re a fan of the franchise. In light of this, I’m still doing my best and was able to watch a single episode “again” yesterday.

Here are my thoughts.

BREAKDOWN

BT, THE TWO FACED CHARACTER: Episode 6 gave me a chance to justify my thoughts on the previous episode about B.T. It was confirmed that she’s lying on both ends – towards Sora and Mimiru. I don’t really get where she’s coming from. Is it for her personal gain or she just wanted to act by herself in order to keep things on their place? She’s really a mysterious one. You see, she was confronted by Mimiru and Bear after the incident between the Crimson Knights and Tsukasa. BT leaked the information to the Crimson Knights in order to lure Tsukasa and eventually get captured. All along, Mimiru and Bear thought that B.T. was helping them to get in touch with Tsukasa.

Lady Subaru’s chance to talk with Tsukasa: Because Tsukasa was captured, Lady Subaru was able to confront and ask him about the events that were happening inside the Game. However, Tsukasa denied everything. He told her that he was also clueless and knew nothing about what was happening with him. Meanwhile, Tsukasa metaphorically said that Lady Subaru’s perfume smelled like “pain”. Perhaps there is another tragic background story which I need to know in the future episodes? Probably. Moreover, Tsukasa bargained with Lady Subaru to release him. They promised to leave each other alone and that Tsukasa will not be allowed to do any reckless actions towards every player inside the Game.

Sora rescued Tsukasa with the help of Mimiru: Mimiru reconciled with Sora for once in order to take Tsukasa back. Fortunately, they came into an agreement and Sora plunged deep into the cave where Tsukasa was held. Surprisingly, he easily defeated the Crimson Knights and was able to retrieve Tsukasa not until they encountered Crim. Sora told Tsukasa to go before him which he did without looking back. He waltzed away from the cave until he saw Mimiru waiting for him. As usual, the brat that he was, only thought of himself. He told Mimiru how he hates her and stuff like that. Total tsundere, but whatever. I’m beginning to get annoyed with his attitude. There is really no character development after 6 episodes for him. I’m beginning to get disappointed.

Mimiru and Tsukasa: Episode 6 also shows how Mimiru cares for Tsukasa. I don’t get it. Are they hitting on each other? because this episode definitely follows through. I don’t really want them hitting on because the buildup on the relationship between them is so shallow that having an emotional and romantic connection between the both of them is arguable.

A new Guardian?: At the end of Episode 6, a guardian was seen transformed into a dragon monster wreaking havoc on other players. Is it a new guardian or is it Tsukasa’s?
